












BAR / BELVEDERE. Benefits from a viewpoint with panoramic views over the Tagus River and framed by a set of buildings whose architectural heritage it is of great interest, the garden April 9 also known as Albertas near the Convento of the Carmelite Nuns das Albertas) or garden Rocha do Conde Obidos, emerges as a promontory into a green area surrounded by tradition, open to the river and vessels, with the south bank of the imposing hiding Almada.
Implemented at the northern limit of a terrace (coverage) of a pre-existing building where it makes the docking with the garden, the bar / terrace unfolds in a single floor. The ephemeral character of its construction, its image of lightness, transparency, permeability and reflection promotes and preserves the relationships existing sights, by not allowing this new structure emerges as a barrier to the garden.
In a very typical and recognized enviroment, we started by analizing the culturals and costumes of the place, a very contemporany and tradicional place, with already a historic and very cultural mark, the Ancient Art Museum of Lisbon, our propose were creating a solid and sustainable network between this new Tourism point, the Museum and its surroundings.
